Pencils: 2B or 3B pencils
Brushes: Sizes 5, 8, 10. Sable is the best quality but they can expensive 
Paint palette: I prefer metal, plastic is okay, make sure it has large wells to mix your colours.
Paints: Try and buy good quality paints, I use Windsor & Newton - Artists’ Water Colours

Paper: Papers come in loose sheets and pads, either will do 
  • Bockingford 140lb – 200lb not or rough
  • Saunders Waterford 140lb – 200lb  not or rough
  • Arches 140lb – 200lb  not or rough 

Sketch Pads: Daler-Rowney: A4 and A5 Series Spiral Cartridge Pads 150gsm, 25 Sheets

Other Materials
  • Eraser: Putty Rubber or Soft Art Eraser
  • Masking tape
  • Easel
  • Chair if required
  • Light weight Board to work on
  • Water container and water bottle
