The mortehoe area is dog heaven. Dogs are welcome in the house provided of course that they are properly managed. No dogs upstairs please. The ground floor has bare floorboards, the rest of the house is carpeted and dogs must be kept on the ground floor by use of stairgate. Please bring your own dog bedding and do not allow your dog onto the furniture.
There are many wonderful dogwalks from Mortehoe in all directions, and the local beach at Grunta has no dog restrictions. Dogs may NOT use the grassed laundry-drying yard at the rear of the house. Dogs on leads can use rear entrance path if you are using back door to go for a walk. The dog can be on rear concrete stairs if tied up and if this doesn't disturb anyone in the house which shares this rear access stair.
You can often see David Kennard in the surrounding fields using his border collies to manage his sheep - keep an eye out for this amazing experience!

The nearest quick dogwalk is straight downhill approx 50 yards, after former chapel and next house turn right through gate into field. You could then bear right to get up to a great view of Morte Point (and good mobile phone reception!) or go down to Grunta beach. See map below.
